ANTI-TERRORISM FORCE PROTECTION (ATFP)

ATFP Engineering

AE Dynamics has performed Anti-terrorism and Force Protection Engineering for Department of Defense Structures (as well as some privately owned buildings) throughout the world.  Our engineers have been involved with this specialty field of engineering ever since it’s early incorporation into the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 4-010-01.  Our engineers are fluent in the use of both Static and Dynamic Analysis Methodologies for the engineering of glazing systems and supporting structural elements.  We have also assisted many manufacturers in customizing and rating their systems for specific Design Basis Threats.  We pride ourselves in designing cost effective solutions for glazing systems that will reduce glass fragment hazards and meet the demanding requirements of the facilities in which they are installed.
