Across the Monongahela River from downtown Pittsburgh Pennsylvania sits the iconic Station Square, home to an eclectic collection of shops, restaurants, activities, and the renown Gateway Clipper Fleet Riverboat Company. Due East and within walking distance of both Station Square and downtown Pittsburgh is the new Glasshouse Apartment complex.  Consisting of 2 U shaped buildings connected by an elevated glass walkway, these new riverfront residences combine the history of the area with modern amenities. Indoor amenities include game room, e-lounge, fitness center, and yoga studio, while outdoor amenities include a zero edge pool, private courtyards, fire pits, and an indoor/outdoor workspace. AE Dynamics was a part of the design team for these buildings, and performed structural calculations for the aluminum curtain wall and storefront assemblies, as well as produced shop drawings for several of the building’s glazing systems.
