PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Neptune’s Taphouse and Eatery is an extension of local favorite Neptune’s Brewery. With its unique craft brews and popular sushi and pub fare cuisine, the original 30 seat brewery location was too small to handle the ever increasing number of customers.  In 2017, renovations began on a building at the corner of Clark and Main Streets in downtown Livingston. The new facility has a 143 seat restaurant, full bar, and a 120 person event center. AE Dynamics welcomed the challenge of renovating and repurposing an older structure to become such a unique establishment.  Our involvement began from the early stages of building assessment before the purchase and continued throughout the design and construction process.  Unique structural challenges included removal of one bay of roof framing to create the outdoor eating area as well as renovation / reinforcing of the roof structure in order to incorporate a rooftop bar area with some of the best dining views in town.
